Salsas, mayonnaise, ketchup frequently require multi-layered bottles in order to preserve the product. Cooking oils are typically stored in PET containers.
In general, these products are oxygen sensitive. To avoid the use of additives - preservatives, the packaging should protect the product so as to prevent its oxidation.
For this reason, it is necessary to have multi-layer structures containing a barrier material in their interior layer.
- HDPE, PP. The rotary concept of Urola’s extrusion blow moulding is ideal for multi-layered containers as this system has only one head, offering great uniformity and precision for the different layers.
- PET: also in multi-layered structures.
Cooking oils, where PET is the most frequently used material, for both for small volumes (up to 1 litre) as well as for volumes of 2, 3 and 5 litres.
