The URBI SERIES of Urola linear blowers, 100% electric, have a compact, solid and ergonomic design that guarantees excellent performance for the manufacture of PET containers with a capacity up to 10L and at speeds between 2,500 and 13,600 bph. The high technology involved, the extremely low total cost of ownership, as well as the excellent quality / price ratio make the URBI series the ideal solution to produce PET containers with forms that range from the simplest to the most innovative and complicated.

  • CHARACTERISTICS

    • Unique (“L” form) linear architecture divided in modules: integrated preform feeding, linear oven, direct transfer system, blowing block press.
    • Multi-module oven, with 8 or 9 IR lamps. Air flow within the oven homogenizes the heat the whole preform wall.
      Neck cooling via cooled air.
    • Direct transfer system: simultaneous transfer of the heated preforms from the oven to the mould, and of the blown bottles to the bottle exit. No need to space out the preforms for their transfer to the press.
    • Stretching system driven by servomotors and blowing system. Stretcher movement in 2 phases: approximation and stretching. Isobaric blowing in the neck area to prevent any possible deformation.
    • Shell-type moulds that are fitted to the cooling block. This shell figure structure allows for very fast format change, without adjustment during the individual mould-shell change or during the change of the mould’s base support.
      (Moulds above 2 liters are of one piece, including cooling circuit).
    • Pneumatic compensation of mould closing to ensure a perfect clamping and to avoid “parting lines".
    • Easy-to-use control station: touch screen integrated to the frame to control blower controls and settings.
    • Perfect access to the primary machine parts for maintenance, adjustments and mould replacements.
    • The URBI 8 and URBI 4L models consist of two presses that take the preforms that come from the ovens, with a single feed hopper of preforms and a single outlet of containers.
  • PREFERENTIAL HEATING FOR OVAL PACKAGING

    The preferential heating process is suitable for the manufacturing of complex PET bottles including asymmetrical or oval-shaped bottles and other flat containers. Urola has developed a simple and practical system with this objective, which can be applied to original equipment or retrofitted

  • AIR RECOVERY SYSTEMS

    The Urola stretch blow moulding machines combine recovery systems of blowing air for the pneumatic drives of the blow moulding operation and as a result, offer considerable energy savings, eliminating the need for an additional low pressure air compressor.

  • MULTILAYER CONTAINERS

    For complex multi-layer PET containers, Urola’s URBI line of stretch blow moulding machines offers a great processing capacity and precision.

URBI-4

The linear blow moulding machine URBI-4 for PET containers of up to 2 litres, with a production capacity of up to 6,800 bottles/hour, maintains the philosophy of the URBI line: the “L”-concept oven, advanced technological systems, high production per cavity and high efficiency.

PRECISION HEATING

In each cycle, the 4 preforms leave the oven at exactly the same moment, and unlike other linear systems, no temperature difference is produced between the preforms.


URBI-6

URBI-6 Stretch blow moulding of PET bottles, etc., with linear design, offers a new generation of ECO machines, combining the most innovative technological innovations.


The URBI-6 blower of PET preforms has 6 moulds available for bottles of up to 2 litres, reaching productivity capacities of up to 10,500 b/h. It offers a significant decrease in the carbon footprint thanks to reduced energy consumption via the reuse of the energy released in the servomotor stoppage, optimization of blown air volume, and reuse of the blown air.

URBI-4L

The URBI-4L linear PET blower is the ideal stretch-blow moulding solution for large PET containers, etc. with high speed and high efficiency.


The URBI-4L is a 4-cavity system for containers of up to 10 litres consisting of 2 presses. It has a single preform feed and integrated container removal systems. Its excellent production capacity of up to 5000 b/h (in 5 litre formats), makes it suitable for in line functioning with the filler.

AUXILIARY EQUIPMENT NEEDED FOR THE BLOW MOULDING OPERATION

  • Compressor to supply high pressure air blowing
  • Low pressure air compressor for pneumatic drives of the blower.
  • Water cooling unit for the moulds and oven.
  • Thermo regulator for tempering moulds (when required by the process).
  • Dehumidifier system in the interior of the blower.

  • Empty preforms pallet tilters.

We use 5 axis CNC Machining Centers and other auxiliary machines for the manufacture of moulds with the highest quality.

SAMPLE MANUFACTURING

This service is covered by Urola when it is required to determine the validity of the container when it is a new packaging development.

AFTER SALES SERVICE AND PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

We accompany the customer in the maintenance of the moulds during their useful life to ensure that the conditions of the process are maintained in optimal conditions.

For this we replace worn parts, repairs, check air outlets, check cooling circuits, etc.

A cooling system is integrated within the very mould. Moulds are manufactured in duralumin with stainless steel, treated neck adjustments.
